supplemental:

the new cold call goal is 7 firms/day; this seems like a decent number, but not so many as to become disheartening or overwhelming. i just finished my seven calls for the day, and may have found one small lead. that would be exciting.

  1. mister mathematician- can you calculate for me how many days you need to go through all of the firms in Seattle before starting over at A? I need something to count down to-

  2. there are too many unknowns--it's on the order of a month or so, but my list is not quite exhaustive, which means that there are additions that screw up the final tally.
    also, there are construction firms to call, which is doubly tricky, because my list of construction firms pretty much sucks, and i'm not sure where to find a better one. which means that the building of the construction list takes more time than the making of the actual calls, and who knows how long that list actually is.
    let's just call it sisyphean and leave it at that--because once i've managed to get all the way through, my prize is getting to start over.
